Project Details: Zeros
The Context
Zeros is a California, US-based startup (On-deck funded) reimagining the SaaS sales cycle as the "Netflix of Enterprise Marketing". This was my first role working in production, I joined as a Full Stack Developer and was promoted to Team Lead, taking ownership of the SDLC to build tools that allowed buyers to trial complex software without the friction of account setups or discovery calls. My work was instrumental in securing the company’s funding round by proving the scalability of our embeddable demo technology, which was solely founded by myself.
Core Technical Challenges & Solutions
1. The Lightweight Inline Widget Framework
- The Challenge: To enable Interactive Demos, we needed a framework that could be embedded into any client’s site without causing layout shifts, CSS conflicts, or performance degradation.
- The Solution: I engineered a lightweight, vanilla-JS-based widget framework. This allowed clients to outsource complex UI functionalities into an inline iframe-based sandbox. The architecture was robust enough to be adopted by Facebook for their internal employee training programs, requiring extreme focus on security and cross-origin isolation.
2. Automated User Analytics & Desktop Tooling
- The Challenge: The sales team was losing over 2 hours per day manually collecting and reconciling feedback from prospects interacting with product tours.
- The Solution: I developed a cross-platform desktop application, powered by Electron, that automated the collection of user interaction analytics. By building a real-time data pipeline between the demo environments and the internal dashboard, we eliminated manual reporting and allowed the sales team to pivot their strategy based on live behavioral data.
3. Programmatic SEO & Comparison Engine
- The Challenge: To drive organic discovery, the company needed a way to rank for "X vs. Y" software comparisons across hundreds of SaaS categories.
- The Solution: I architected a programmatic SEO engine using Next.js and Redux Toolkit. By creating a template-driven system that consumed a centralized product database, we generated a multitude of high-performing comparison pages. This Engine of Value significantly boosted inbound lead generation and established the brand's authority in the SaaS trial space.
By architecting a secure, portable widget framework adopted by Facebook and automating internal sales analytics, I helped the organization secure a key funding round from On-deck while reclaiming 25% of the sales team's daily bandwidth through engineering-driven automation.
